IVERMECTIN WARNING (DURVET)
A number of Durvet animal health products contain the anti-parasite active ingredient Ivermectin. Despite various media reports and social media posts that Ivermectin could potentially be used to treat people with COVID-19, these products are not safe or approved for human use, which could cause severe personal injury or death.
For additional information please refer to https://www.durvet.com/blog/covid-19-information-regarding-ivermectin/, the FDA’s website https://www.fda.gov/ (search ivermectin), or the FDA’s social media pages https://www.facebook.com/FDA/posts/10159674279777299.
Please note that VPSI carries ivermectin products from multiple manufacturers. No matter which manufacturer the ivermectin product comes from, the same warning applies. Ivermectin is NOT safe for human use.
VPSI's COVID-91 Response
The last year has been a revolving door with guidance for Covid-19 and our company experience has had many new obstacles to overcome. That being said, we have managed and it can only get better from here.
We would like to provide some information that affects both employees and customers of Veterinary & Poultry Supply, Inc.
VPSI provides services to customers in multiple states and we continue to stay informed with restrictions and the ever-changing guidance as it relates to Covid-19.
We are making every effort to comply with guidelines issued by State and Federal authorities.
We are making every effort to comply with special instructions from customers that have guidelines of their own.
Biosecurity has been a staple in our industry for years. Recent events have heightened awareness for the need. We are committed to continuing this effort. Just as we’ve committed to keeping your animals and your livelihood protected from African Swine Fever, Avian Influenza, Swine Flu, and other prior health concerns in the agricultural industry, we’re just as dedicated to keeping our customers safe from this current health threat.
Our employees have additional direction related to illness and social distancing that we feel should have a minimal impact on our ability to provide service.
At this time, we continue to be attentive to changes that may come.
Sending prayers and positive thoughts for your good health and safety during this time.
